what our clients say

" ..I never used to have all these aches and pains when I was younger. After I first tried Shiatsu, I felt reborn!"   - Mr J

"..I look at other folk in the street who are obviously suffering, and think what a shame they don't know about Shiatsu" - Mr M

"..I haven't had the energy to go swimming in years, but now I am able to go every week" - Mrs D

"After receiving shiatsu I felt amazing, just amazing" - Mr S

"With regular Shiatsu sessions I felt a lot better and gradually reached a point when menstrual pain was not an issue any more. A year after my last session, I am still benefiting from it. I would highly recommend it to anyone and I think that in combination with healthy eating and mild exercise, it contributes greatly to people's well being." - Ms T

"Shiatsu massage has helped to free my mind from anxieties and waste of time thoughts so that I think in a clearer way about how to enjoy living my own life" - Mrs S

"..My mum died a little over a year ago and so by me receiving shiatsu this past 6 months I have had my feelings of her loss and the emptiness there is with the loss, supported... I have felt stronger through this time to do with loss." - Mrs S

"I've really benefited from regular Shiatsu treatment. Not only have the physical symptoms (neck and back tension) been reduced to the extent that they are no longer significant, but it has also had significant emotional benefits. I can't imagine maintaining peak emotional or physical performance for my singing without the sort of support that Shiatsu offers. I've benefited enormously from the physical awareness that it elicits, and from the emotional support that it provides." - Mr. C

"The sessions with you have taught me an awareness of my body which has enabled me to learn to relax and to prevent the stresses of daily life from building up as physical tension." - Mrs S.

sessions

Your session will be individually tailored depending on your needs and the diagnosis. A variety of techniques may be used, which will be as gentle or as deep as is required. For instance gentle holding, pressure applied with palms, thumbs, elbows or knees, stretches and joint rotations.

Sessions take about one hour and include a detailed initial consultation.

Shiatsu is practiced on a soft futon on the floor or a massage table. It can also be done seated if unable to lie down. The client remains fully clothed throughout.
